Bye Bye passwords — Passkeys for Developers

In the digital age, the shift towards a passwordless future is coming, with passkeys leading the charge. This talk introduces developers to passkeys, a secure and user-friendly authentication alternative to traditional passwords, leveraging public-key cryptography. We’ll explore how passkeys enhance security, prevent phishing, and improve user experience by storing credentials locally and simplifying authentication processes. The session covers practical implementation strategies using the Web Authentication API (WebAuthn), addressing the transition challenges and compatibility issues. Let’s embrace the future of digital security and learn how to integrate passkeys into your applications, paving the way for a safer, seamless online experience.
